How Netsystem helped the Fichet group with its IT audit and to make various entities autonomous.

Context and objectives

Initial situation:

  • Gunnebo France, Gunnebo Belgium, Fichet-Bauche and Gunnebo Electronic Security are business units of Gunnebo, a Swedish industrial group. The company specialises in security solutions for property and buildings.
  • Their information systems are highly integrated with the group across the entire technical base and application domain (customer services, workflows, quality, NCN, etc.).
  • This business has been sold to OpenGate Capital, a private equity fund.
Business challenge
  • Carry out an IT audit of all IT components (infrastructure, applications, etc.).
  • Devising the ideal plan for making the various entities autonomous (timing, management, etc.) without interrupting production.
  • 950 workstations to be migrated.
Response and method

  • Negotiating a carve-out strategy with the vendor
  • Migration of enterprise applications
  • Setting up new dedicated infrastructures
  • Separation of the corporate network
