Fiven : carve-out

How Netsystem carried out the IT carve-out for Fiven, involving 626 employees and 6 production sites across 4 countries.

Context and objectives

Initial situation:

  • The Saint-Gobain Ceramic Material companies (since renamed Fiven) are subsidiaries of the Saint-Gobain group, a French multinational. These companies specialise in the production of silicon carbide (SiC) for several applications such as metallurgy, refractories, abrasives, electronics, passive shielding and energy efficiency or emission control technologies.
  • Fiven’s information system is highly integrated into the Group’s IS across the entire technical base (hosting, network, Microsoft services, backend services, operations, end-user support) and the application domain (ERP, CRM, digital marketing, HR, etc.).
  • This business has been sold to OpenGate Capital, a private equity fund.
